An Emotional Wreck

AHHHHH...GRRRRR!!! I am sick of being an emotional wreck right now. I was at church this evening for a meeting and we were going around introducing ourselves. While introducing ourselves we were stating how we have seen God in our week. After saying who I was, I started sobbing. REALLY?!?! It's been a busy week so I thought I was "over" the fact that I was missing A so much. Well...I was definitely wrong. Fortunately I had my wonderful roomie there and everybody was incredibly supportive. Obviously I got through it, but I just wish that these emotions didn't just randomly hit me.

Other than my being an emotional wreck this evening, today was a great day. I worked this morning and then spent some time at my practicum site. Tuesday is the first day of school and all the students came in today to get their schedules. It was great getting to meet some of them. I can't wait for this semester to really get underway.

Hmm...that's weird. "Why would I be getting something from them?" I thought. I almost threw it out, but was curious. I opened the envelope and found a catalog. Not sure why I would get a catalog from there, but I fortunately flipped through it real quick. I then realized that there was something in the back of it...

and there was a gift card.

I then wondered what the "instructions" were for this gift since A had told me there would be instructions to come with it. Well...I spoke to him earlier and guess what...my roomie and I are going to the Spa for half a day of mani/pedi, massage, and hair fun!!!! I can't wait. :-) He is so wonderful and I am so spoiled.

Drive-In Movie

Alright ladies (and gentlemen if there are any!) ~ I completed a first for me last night.

Yes, I had NEVER been to a drive-in movie before. However, I went to one last night with my roommate. It was so much fun. There is this new drive-in place out in the country about 30 minutes from where I live. They have double features and it's VERY reasonably priced. We saw Marmaduke and Eclipse. And yeah, I know I saw Eclipse already...but I had been wanting to see it again, so why not do it when I can see another movie also, and the price is cheaper than one movie at a theater. Anyway, if you have not been to a drive-in before and have one nearby, I strongly recommend that you go. It's a blast!

Some Good News!

My roomie and I received the home of the month award at our apartment complex. This is the first month that they awarded this. It is for having the prettiest, most appealing front porch area! :-) And they posted this sign right in front of our apartment yesterday so that everybody could see :

A Great Few Days

Since I last posted a few things have happened...including I turned a year older on Thursday! :-) (Yes...that's right. I am now a quarter century old!)

If you've been reading my blog you already know what I got from A! However, I know I have a few recent followers so...this is what I got a brand new pink laptop and purple wireless mouse...look here to see!

So on Thursday night a group of my friends (some from work, school, and the roomie/gang!) went out to dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings. It was an absolutely blast. Here are a few pics for a recap of the night...

Friday was a pretty low-key day with work in the morning and dinner with my parents. Then today was just great. My roomie and I ran (walked) in a 10K race this morning. It was great. We finished in about an hour and 20 minutes. We felt great afterwards. A little tired now, but that's what happens. It was a great race because there were bands along the way and tons of people on the sides of the street cheering and stuff. It was an overall great time.

Afterwards, I got to spend some time with my nephew who turns 1 tomorrow. I can't believe it. His birthday party was today and he got so many things. His toys are absolutely amazing. If I were still a kid (other than at heart) I would totally steal his toys from him. HEHE!

And then tonight I went out to dinner with my parents for my birthday! Now, I am about to crash because I'm exhausted. Just wanted to touch base since it had been a few days. Hope everyone is doing well and that you are all having a great weekend! Have a happy Sunday! :-)

I Want It Wednesday

Hmmm...what do I want for the next year of my life?!

I Want It Wednesday

I want to brag about my roommate and her talent! She and our other friend made 2 cakes this week. They are absolutely beautiful. Look...

This cake is for one of her classmate's boyfriends. He is a med student and it's his Bday! (Look at all that detailing...and yes, it is ALL edible!)

40 And Fabulous...This is for my roomie's boss' surprise party at work this week. It's so pretty.
